We had a great time. It was a beautiful trip from beginning to end. I am looking forward to the next trip. I would highly recommend Common Bond Travel.

I had a great time. The location defines “tropical paradise”, and while the Club Med is an older resort, it is well maintained and perfect for a laid back beach vacation. The dining options were limited to the buffet and the beach cafe, but the quality and variety of options was fantastic. Common Bond’s Quincy and Chris were great - treating everyone as old friends and making sure there was enough “community” to make the trip more than just another vacation; but they also kept things casual enough so that there was plenty of time to relax, explore, and indulge. I had a great time. Looking forward to next year’s adventure.

I had a good time. The resort physical surroundings are beautiful, breathtaking, comfortable, clean, pleasant. The food is not working out for me, with regards to the coconut oil that they use in their processed recipes. I have an untoward effect from it, daily. Common Bond Travel seemed organized, but, a little "laissez-faire" about details. Unfortunately, in many small groups like this one, cliques form, and, 'the in crowd" called relentlessly on each other, to the exclusion of those outside the inner circle. It was discouraging to attend meetings with the same people speaking once or even twice per day. Other people were left out. I would try Common Bond again, but, would like to see an effort made to encourage all participation.

Hi Jean – Thank you for joining us for the Common Bond Sober Extravaganza, and for your candid comments. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, aside from the dietary issues, which I will share with my Club Med representative. I’m also glad that you shared your concerns about the sense of being an outsider within the group. My intention is to make everyone feel welcome and included. And of course, part of the fun of doing a trip like this is the opportunity to connect with others we only see once a year. Unfortunately, sometimes that feeling of reconnecting can unintentionally make newer participants feel excluded. And that also can result in people calling primarily on those they know in the meetings. Since this was the 3rd year of this event, I know that it’s time to take a close look at what we’re doing and how we can make it better – for everyone. I commit to you that we will include in that inventory the ways we can build the structure to create a more inclusive, more welcoming environment. I hope that you will consider joining us again next year in Costa Rica, so that you can enjoy yourself with your sober sisters and brothers, but also so that you can see the improvements brought on by your feedback.
